Sensitive site clearance
The aims here are to reduce wherever possible any potential harm, caused by development activities which would otherwise constitute an offence under current legislation.
Combined Permanent Newt and integrated Security fencing
Amphibian/Newt and Reptile fencing is introduced prior to the development phase. This prevents further movement of any protected species straying into any areas in which it would be in danger.

Often mitigation is in place to recreate loss of habitat. Here artificial habitat ‘Hibernacula’ is being constructed to compensate. All captured animals are then relocated to a specific area, often destined to become Nature Reserves in their own right.
Permanent reserve and habitat / hibernacula creation.
Note, good access into the hibernacula is essential.
